Using electrical equipment

Lobel Services ensures that we use electrical wiring, equipment, portable tools and extension leads in accordance with applicable codes and standards. We ensure that all electrical equipment brought on site is listed in the Services Electrical Equipment Register is completed prior to commencement of the works and maintained for the duration of the works on site.

All electrical equipment including: portable power tools; lights; leads and power boards; switchboards; and earth leakage or residual current devices, is inspected and tested by a suitably-qualified person and labelled with a tag of currency before being used on site.

Lobel Services uses two types of automatic test and tag machines:

• Seaward Primetest Elite

• Metrel Deltapat 3309 BT

Our testing and tagging operating procedure are in accordance Australian Standard: AS/NZS 3760:2010 - In service safety inspection and testing of electrical equipment, outlines inspection, testing and tagging methods.
